Lung Cancer: The World's Deadliest Cancer

Lung cancer is responsible for more deaths annually than the top three most common cancers combined in the world. In 2018, the World Health Organisation estimated that at least 2.1 million new cases of lung cancer are discovered and by 2040, there would be at least 3.5 million yearly. In all reported lung cancer cases, a staggering 83% of them resulted in deaths. In just 2018, there are at least 1.8 million deaths and it is expected to reach 3 million by 2040. Such high mortality rates are mainly caused by late diagnosis. Over time, their condition worsened, resulting in lower chances of recovery. The most effective way to manage lung cancer, is to facilitate early diagnosis through biopsy so that patients can look forward to early treatments, such as ablation. With early diagnosis, individuals who are at risk of lung cancer, can receive treatment in early and treatable stages, such as Stage 1 and 2. NDR Medtech’s mission is to expedite the diagnosis of such illnesses and treatments through the use of AI and robotics.

The National Geography documentation features ANT System which allows the precise and fast automation of the needle alignment process, making it stress-free for the doctors and reducing the time taken for needle alignment. Collaboration with Japan Nagoya City University Hospital

We partnered with Nagoya City University Hospital and have completed a successful phantom trial with Prof Yasui Takahiro and Assistant Prof Kazumi Taguchi for both fluoroscopy and ultrasound. The strategic collaboration will focus on clinical research and we look forward to our exploration.
